Cool and Rare
This beautiful Sunburst TRG-2 is a pretty rare guitar these days and sounds as great as it looks!
There are a few single pickup models, the TRG-1, around but not many dual pickup TRG-2’s.
Great Tone & Playability
Playability and action is nice, it’s a good playing guitar. Both pickups work and the built-in amp and speaker work, which is pretty uncommon, in itself. With just a small 1 watt solid state amp, the tone through the onboard speaker is okay but plugged in to an external amp, this guitar has some pretty cool tones available.
It’s quite versatile with a clean jangly tone great for rythym or surfy kind of stuff but if you want some nice overdrive it’s got that as well. I was quite surprised by the sounds these pickups produce.
With it dating to 1964-65, this TRG-2 shows a bit of typical wear, dings and scratches that would be expected from a guitar of this age but overall is in excellent condition.
There is a laquer crack following the laminated sections of the headstock, as seen in the photos. The neck and headstock are solid.
This guitar comes with a padded gigbag and will packed and boxed very well if shipped.
