Here we have a nice all original Oahu Tonemaster lap steel from approx. the late 1940’s.

This beautiful sunburst lap steel is in good to very good condition with various light scratches visible but no serious breaks or damage.

• original single coil pickup (made by Valco, I believe) sounds great with a nice rich tone.
• potentiometers were a little scratchy when we first got this steel in but after a good cleaning they are pretty much noise free.
• a small bit of the bakelite that has chipped off by the one knob and the original tuners have started to disintegrate, as often happens.

It’s original case is a bit rough but still does what it’s supposed to do — protect the instrument.

Tonemasters are fantastic sounding lap steels with many big name players choosing to play them.
