Classic Marshall tone in a small package!
The Class 5 (C5-01) amplifier has become reknown for it’s plexi-like tone, it’s power (it’s quite loud for a 5 watt amp!) and it’s build quality.
These little amps are great for studio and home use and if mic’d could even be a good stage amp for a small gig.
This Class 5 is in excellent condition. It shows only a few, faint ‘scratch-like’ marks on the one side, few small tears in the bottom edge tolex and a spot on the handle bezzle where the gold finish has worn (this may be able to be touched up).
The EL84 has been replaced with a NOS Mullard EL84 we had here in the store. That tube alone is worth over $100! The ECC83 tubes appear to be Groove Tubes.
Everything else appears original and untouched.
With that Mullard, this amp sounds great and has tons of tone! Want really amazing tone? Just plug it into a 412 cab and hang on!
