Here’s an honest, one-owner amp! We acquired this 1958 BR-9 from the gentleman who bought it in 1958 to learn Hawiian Guitar with from the Ontario Royal Conservatory of Music.

It is in amazing condition! There are only a few scuffs on the front corners and a couple marks on the bottom (which may be able to be cleaned off).

The capacitors have been replaced as well as the transformer – replaced with a Hammond.

The amp sounds and functions the way it should.

The BR-9 is a fairly clean sounding amp, with just a bit of break-up at higher volume. Rated at around 10 watts, it’s not particularly loud but it does have a smooth, warm tone.

This would make an excellent home or studio amp and a great addition to any amp collection!
