Description

Here’s a nice Hofner bass in good condition.

I believe it should originally have been a sunburst finish and at some point it has been stripped and refinished in natural. It has been done very well. It really doesn’t appear that this is not the original natural satin finish.

The pots appear to date it to 1967.

Everything appears to be original, other than the pickguard, maybe the knobs (I have seen a few with the black knobs) and finish, obviously.

The electronics work as they should.

The frets and fretboard are in good shape with lots of life remaining.

The action is a bit on the high side at the moment but it could be lowered a bit and setup a bit better.

Included with this vintage Hofner is a hard case which fits very well.

A pristine collector this one is not, but it would be a great player!
